I love working with my fellow artists! It was a blast photographing Tulsa-based painter Ashlyn Metcalfwearing my new MIMOSA MAFIA shirt. Metcalf attended Northeastern State University where she studied art and education. Metcalf is a member of the Cherokee Nation. She is 27.
She is working away furiously on “Soliloquy”, her exhibition coming up at IAO Gallery in October 2017. Her show will feature paintings on woodcuts. There will be an installation element in the presentation, as well.

We took the photos at Inner Circle Vodka Bar in downtown Tulsa’s Brady Arts District on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
Ashlyn is wearing one of my new MIMOSA MAFIA shirts. I print each of my shirts by hand in my Tulsa art studio. You can buy them on my web site, ispeakokie.com.
I also have various Pop Up Shops all over the Tulsa area, where you can buy my shirts. Follow me on Instagram to get updates as to where I will be and when I will be doing future Pop Up Shops!
Thank you for supporting local, Oklahoma artists!
